In addition to exposing established metal and rock artists to the mainstream — I’m also hoping to expose new musicians. Up-and-coming, unknown, whatever the case may be, if they’re hot, I want to hear about them.
If they’re really smoking, I’ll do a feature on them, just like I did with my friend, singer/songwriter Anthony Picone and his drummer Lisa Foerderer recently. He just debuted his new project, The Anthony Picone Band, and I had a chance to sit down for a chat. We were hoping to go LIVE, but with wi-fi being a bit temperamental, we decided to use an alternate video/audio source. That, and the owner of the venue inexplicably refused to turn the house music off for the duration of our quick interview, which caused some major audio issues.
Note to Mr. Bar Owner: When I give you two days worth of free press, you could at least turn the sound DOWN.
You’ll see some highlights of that interview soon.
